"I am currently the Fall/Winter Marketing Co-op with the Dougherty Team. Although this is my first Co-op position, the team has treated me like a significant member. From my very first day on the job, I have felt like I am making significant contributions to the company. The hands-on work has been a lot of fun and it is even more exciting seeing the projects I worked on used in big meetings. The team allows me to have a voice despite my young age. I am so pleased with how committed everyone in the office has been to making this internship as successful as possible. I have not only learned the fundamentals of Real Estate and Marketing, but I have learned professional work habits that will help me for the rest of my life!"

I began my journey into Commercial Real Estate with the Dougherty team as an investment sales co-op in spring and summer of 2023. I have had the honor to stay on part-time and continue to learn how to be a true professional from all of the agents inside the office. I had no prior experience in the Commercial Real Estate industry but the team have helped me every step of the way and have always been there to guide me through it. My professional skills , communication and habits have vastly changed since my start date and that’s all due to Derrick and his team truly going above and beyond to make sure that everyone feels apart of the team and the chance to reach any goal you have in mind with this co-op experience. The experience I gained was more valuable than I had ever anticipated it would be and I will take all those lessons with me in my professional journey after my graduation in 2024 from Drexel University.

“I was an Investment Sales Co-op in the spring and summer of 2023. This experience has helped me grow significantly in sales, collaboration, and professionalism. My responsibilities included assisting our brokers in updating our database and confirming property ownership. My favorite part of my time working for the Dougherty Team was simply interacting with everyone in the office. Their acceptance and willingness to help me learn made each day in the office more enjoyable than anywhere else I worked prior. It was always a top priority for the team to include co-ops in team meetings, outside-of-work events, and even interviews for future co-ops. My role on this team is to collect data in order to assist with confirming ownership of properties through our team’s CRM system. During my time here, I have learned extensive terminology and have become proficient in software that will be useful in my future endevours. “I began my co-op with the Dougherty Team in the Fall of 2021 as a Financial Analyst. After my co-op, I transitioned into a more expanded leadership role on the team with both financial and operational responsibilities. My knowledge, skills, and professionalism have all increased immensely since my inception. “I began my career with the Dougherty Team in April 2020 as an Investment Sales Co-op. Covid had just hit, and as I sat on the couch wondering what would happen with the world, I received a call from Derrick Dougherty. He promised me that this co-op would happen in some way, shape, or form. Not long after that, he shipped a computer to me, and I was on-boarded virtually with Marcus & Millichap. Derrick and the team have constantly over promised and over delivered throughout my time here, which is why I kept coming back for more co-op cycles and continued full-time on the team since I graduated.
