Derrick exclusively represents both sellers and buyers of investment properties across the United States and primarily focuses on the Mid-Atlantic region. The Dougherty Team focuses on multi-tenant shopping centers and net-leased investments. In the last 3 years, The Dougherty Team listed and closed 100+ transactions over $500 Million in value on a national, regional, and local level. Derrick’s success can be seen in his achievements as a director of both the National Retail Group and the Net-Leased Properties Group of Marcus & Millichap. Additionally, Derrick has consistently ranked among the firm’s and the region’s top agents. Derrick takes great pride in his accomplishments in both his professional career and personal life.

 

As a Delaware County, PA native, Derrick knows the Mid-Atlantic region real estate exceptionally well. Derrick attended and graduated from Cardinal O’Hara High School and Lycoming College, where he played football and basketball. After graduating college, Derrick worked for the Pittsburgh Pirates as a Minor League Baseball broadcaster on the radio in markets throughout the northeastern part of the country. He and his wife, Kristen, have two daughters, Brooklyn and Skylar, and a son, Max. In his spare time, Derrick enjoys traveling with his family, coaching field hockey, and attending college and professional sporting events.
